Farmers Market

If you love fresh produce and meeting the people behind it, The Capital Region Farmers Market  is one Canberra experience you won’t want to miss. Held each Saturday morning, it’s where local growers, bakers, and artisans come together to share the very best of the region — from seasonal fruits and vegetables to handcrafted cheeses, meats, and honey. With more than 100 stallholders each week, there’s always something new to taste, try, and take home.

The atmosphere is as warm as it is lively. Stallholders are always up for a chat, happy to share the story behind their produce or offer a quick cooking tip. It’s a community hub — a place where visitors and locals mingle over steaming cups of coffee and freshly baked pastries, soaking up Canberra’s easy-going weekend vibe.

The Market Experience

One of the best parts of the Capital Region Farmers Market is starting your day with a relaxed breakfast as you wander. You’ll find everything from gourmet toasties and pastries to fresh juices and locally roasted coffee. Live music adds to the friendly buzz, creating the perfect start to your weekend.

It’s a great spot for families, couples, and travellers looking to immerse themselves in local life. Whether you’re searching for farm-fresh ingredients, artisan snacks for your road trip, or a unique Canberra-made gift, you’ll leave with both full bags and a full heart.

Plan Your Visit

The Capital Region Farmers Market runs every Saturday at EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra), on the corner of Flemington Road and Northbourne Avenue in Mitchell — just a short 10-minute drive from Canberra Holiday Village.

There’s plenty of free parking and the market is fully wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. Public transport is convenient too, with the  EPIC and Racecourse light rail station  right across the road.

While most stalls accept EFTPOS, having a little cash on hand can be handy for smaller purchases. The market is pet friendly (leashed dogs only) and open rain or shine, so bring your reusable bags and dress for the weather. Capital Region Farmers Market website
